How can I receive my medication?
Your medication will be delivered in 3 simple steps:
STEP 1: Fill out the medical questionnaire
STEP 2: Choose your preferred delivery method
STEP 3: Confirm your payment and shipping address
After you complete the counseling sheet, a doctor will review your responses.
The prescription will be made based on your consultation and the medication you wish to receive.
Please make sure to fill out the counseling sheet before proceeding.
Can I get my meds without anyone noticing?
You can receive your prescription online and choose a pickup location other than your home, ensuring complete privacy.
Our clinic offers online medical consultations, allowing you to complete the entire process — from diagnosis to medication delivery — using just your smartphone, without visiting a hospital.
You can choose from various delivery options such as pickup at Yamato service centers, post offices, or convenience stores, so your medication won’t be delivered directly to your home.
We also provide multiple payment methods, including credit card, convenience store payment, ATM payment, and PayPay.
No invoices or statements will be sent to your home, so you can use our service confidentially and with peace of mind.
I’m a student and don’t have a credit card or bank account. Can I still use your service?
You can pay in cash at a convenience store. Please use that payment method.
I’m a minor. Am I eligible to use your service?
In principle, this service is available to users aged 18 and over.
What is a low-dose birth control pill?
The pill commonly referred to as “the birth control pill” usually means the low-dose type.
When taken correctly every day, it is more than 99% effective in preventing pregnancy.
It also helps regulate irregular menstrual cycles, making it easier to plan for trips, vacations, or other special events.
In addition, low-dose pills can help relieve menstrual cramps, ease premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms, and improve acne.
Because of these benefits, we recommend consultation for those who suffer from menstrual pain or skin problems.
The appropriate prescription may vary depending on when you start taking the pill and how you take it.
It’s best to discuss with your doctor to find the method that suits you.
Please feel free to consult us anytime.
What types of low-dose birth control pills are available?
Low-Dose Pills Available at Our Clinic
At our clinic, we offer the following low-dose birth control pills:
“Favoir,” “Marvelon,” “Triquilar,” and “Labellefeuille.”
For details on pricing, side effects, and other information, please visit our page:https://personalcareclinic.jp/en/menu/lowdosepill/
◼︎ Favoir
Favoir contains two types of female hormones — a progestogen and an estrogen — and is a generic version of Marvelon, which is a third-generation pill.
All 28 tablets contain the same amount of hormones, making it a monophasic pill. Because the hormone composition is consistent, it provides high contraceptive effectiveness and can also help improve PMS symptoms.
◼︎ Marvelon
Marvelon features desogestrel (DSG), a third-generation progestogen.
This generation of progestogen helps suppress male hormones, which are linked to excessive sebum production — one of the causes of acne. Therefore, it can also help improve acne symptoms.
Start taking the pill between the 1st and 5th day of your period, one tablet daily at approximately the same time each day.
Take the white tablets for 21 days, followed by the green tablets for 7 days, continuing for a total of 28 days.
After finishing one pack, start the next sheet the following day from the “Start” mark on the upper left corner, following the arrows.
◼︎ Triquilar / Labellefeuille
Triquilar is a second-generation low-dose birth control pill and belongs to the triphasic type, which adjusts hormone levels in three phases to more closely match the body’s natural hormonal rhythm.
Because of this, it tends to reduce side effects such as breakthrough bleeding.
Begin taking it between the 1st and 5th day of your period, one tablet daily at about the same time each day.
Take 6 brown tablets, then 5 white tablets, followed by 10 yellow tablets, and finally 7 white tablets, for a total of 28 consecutive days.
After completing one sheet, start the next pack the following day from the brown tablet labeled “1” in the upper left corner, and continue in the order indicated by the arrows.
How should I take low-dose birth control pills?
Please start taking the pill on the first day of your next period.
You should begin no later than the fifth day of your period.
If you miss that timing, please wait and start again from the first day of your next period.
Even if your period starts in the middle of the pack, please continue taking all 28 tablets, including the placebo (inactive) pills.
After finishing one sheet (28 tablets), start the next pack on the following day without any break.
All medications prescribed by our clinic are 28-day packs, which help prevent missed doses.
To avoid forgetting to take your pill, choose a convenient time each day and try to take one tablet with water at the same time daily.
Please note that taking the pill at irregular times can cause unstable hormone levels and may lead to breakthrough bleeding.
Does the low-dose birth control pill prevent pregnancy?
Contraceptive protection begins after taking the low-dose birth control pill correctly for seven consecutive days.
According to clinical data, after more than two months of consistent use, the pill can provide up to 99.7% contraceptive effectiveness.
If you miss doses, the contraceptive effect will decrease.
In that case, please use additional protection (such as condoms) until you have taken the pill correctly for seven consecutive days again.
What should I do if I forget to take my low-dose birth control pill?
If you forget to take your pill:
Within 12 hours:
Take the missed pill as soon as you remember. Continue with your regular schedule afterward.
If you remember the next day:
Take two pills at once — the one you missed and today’s pill.
If you miss pills for two or more consecutive days:
Please contact your doctor for further instructions.
If you are a patient at our clinic, please send us a message via chat first for guidance.
Changing your pill-taking time:
If you want to change the time you take your pill in the middle of a cycle, please make the change within 12 hours of your usual time.
Examples:
OK: Currently 8:00 a.m. → New time 12:00 p.m. (within 12 hours)
Not recommended: Currently 8:00 a.m. → New time 10:00 p.m. (more than 12 hours difference)
What is the low-dose birth control pill trial set?
This is a special first-time consultation plan that includes both the “Favoir” (monophasic) and “Labellefille” (triphasic) low-dose birth control pills.
With this trial plan, you can try both types and see which suits your body best.
Low-dose birth control pills differ in hormone balance depending on the type:
Monophasic pills (like Favoir) contain the same hormone level in every tablet.
Triphasic pills (like Labellefille) have three phases of hormone levels, designed to more closely mimic your body’s natural menstrual cycle.
Because hormone sensitivity varies from person to person, some users find monophasic pills cause fewer side effects, while others respond better to triphasic pills.
For mini-pills, both options are monophasic but differ in estrogen content:
Noriday contains slightly more estrogen, which may help reduce side effects.
Azalia has lower estrogen levels, and may also cause fewer side effects depending on individual response.
This plan is available for first-time patients only, allowing you to safely try different options while monitoring for side effects under medical supervision.
What are the possible side effects of low-dose birth control pills?
Possible Side Effects of Low-Dose Birth Control Pills
You may experience nausea, irregular bleeding (spotting), or mood changes while taking the pill.
The most common side effect is irregular bleeding, which occurs in about 20% of users.
These symptoms usually improve within 1 to 3 months as your body adjusts to the hormones.
A rare but serious side effect is blood clot formation (thrombosis).
To reduce this risk, please make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid lifestyle factors that increase the risk of blood clots, such as smoking and obesity.
We also recommend having a check-up with a gynecologist every 6 to 12 months while taking the pill.
What is an event-use pill?
Event-use Pill [Period Adjustment]
Planovar is a medication that can be used to delay or bring forward your menstrual period.
It’s safe even for first-time users — you simply take one tablet per day for up to 14 days.
This short-term use has minimal effects on your body and also provides contraceptive benefits, offering peace of mind while you enjoy your special plans.
If you have an important event, trip, or occasion and wish to adjust your period timing, this option is a convenient and reliable solution.
Does the event-use pill have any side effects?
Some possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, slight genital bleeding, headache, and swelling (edema).
The reported frequency of these side effects is around 10%, and they are usually mild and temporary.
At our clinic, we provide anti-nausea medication free of charge for the number of days you will be taking the period-adjustment pill, to help ensure your comfort.
Please feel free to take advantage of this option when using the pill to adjust your period.
I have allergies. Is it safe for me to take the pill?
In general, there is no problem. Please refer to the following.
▼ About allergies
For emergency contraceptive pills (morning-after pills) and low-dose birth control pills, there is no issue unless you have an allergy to the pill itself or its ingredients.
People with allergies such as pollen allergy, egg allergy, or buckwheat allergy can usually take the pill without any problem.
If you have other medication allergies or uncertain allergic reactions, please indicate them on your medical questionnaire and consult with your doctor before starting.
When can I choose the delivery method?
You can choose the delivery method after filling out the medical questionnaire.
Whether you:

Want your medication delivered to your home even while you’re out,
